How the Cathedral effect works
The reverb is a convolution: your voice is combined with an impulse response, a recording-like fingerprint of a room. Here the impulse is generated as decaying noise of the length you choose, which is how many algorithmic reverbs approximate large spaces.
Tips for a better reverb
- 20–30% mix sounds like a room; 50%+ sounds like a distant voice.
- Long reverbs smear speech; keep them for singing and dramatic clips.
- Apply to a file to add reverb to a vocal recording and download WAV.

How do I add reverb to a recording online?
Choose a preset, click "Apply to a file", pick your audio and download the processed WAV.
Does reverb add latency?
Not noticeably. Convolution runs inside the browser's audio engine in the same render cycle.
