Baby Voice Changer

The Baby preset pushes your voice up ten semitones and strips away everything below 300 Hz, giving a tiny, soft voice for skits, videos and pranks among friends.

How the Baby effect works

A large upward shift like +10 semitones makes delay-line pitch shifting work hard, so the preset uses a very short 22 ms grain to keep it from fluttering. The low shelf is cut 6 dB, the low-cut filter sits at 300 Hz, and a 2 dB high lift keeps the voice bright rather than muffled.

Tips for a better baby voice

  • Babble and use simple words; the effect sells it, the script finishes it.
  • Keep the mic a little farther away than usual to avoid harsh sibilance.
  • For a slightly older child, use the Kid Voice Changer instead.

Questions

How do I get a baby voice effect?

Choose Baby, press Start and speak. To process a recording, use "Apply to a file" and download the result.

Why does a big pitch shift sound grainy?

Real-time pitch shifters crossfade short slices of audio. The bigger the shift, the more obvious those joins become. Shorter grains help on upward shifts.
