How to record
- Pick a preset. Podcast is loaded: a gentle gate, warmth and a touch of room.
- Press Record clip. The mic starts automatically if it is off.
- Press Stop, listen back in the player and click Download.
Soundboard pads played during a recording are captured too, which makes quick meme clips easy: record in the rack, then upload the result to a soundboard pad.
Getting a clean recording
- Stay a hand's width from the mic and keep the distance steady.
- Record in a room with soft furnishings; the Gate pedal hides quiet background hiss but not echo.
- Watch the waveform: if it touches the top and bottom, lower Mic gain.
- For voice-overs, Broadcast gives a radio-style tone; for music, bypass and record dry.

Is this online voice recorder free?
Yes, with no sign-up or time limit per session beyond 10 minutes per clip. Recordings are made in your browser and never uploaded.
What format are recordings saved in?
Live recordings download as WebM/Opus in Chrome, Edge and Firefox and as M4A in Safari. Files processed with "Apply to a file" download as uncompressed 16-bit WAV.
Can I record without any effect?
Yes. Choose the Clean preset or tick Bypass, then record.
Where do my recordings go?
Nowhere until you press Download. They exist only in the page's memory and disappear when you close the tab.
Can I add effects to an existing recording?
Yes. Use "Apply to a file" in the rack: choose an audio file, it is processed with the current preset on your device, and you download the WAV.
