How the Canyon Echo effect works
An echo is a delayed copy of the sound fed back into itself. Delay time sets the gap between repeats (sound travels about 343 m/s, so 650 ms is roughly a cliff 110 m away), and feedback sets how many repeats you hear before it dies out.
Tips for a better echo voice effect
- Short delays (80–150 ms) give a rock-and-roll slapback; long ones sound like mountains.
- Keep feedback under 0.7 unless you want it to build up.
- Echo on voice chat gets tiring for others; save the big ones for clips.
