When to use it

Losing a round, a failed plan, a pun that deserved it.

How this sound is made

Filtered sawtooth notes stepping down a semitone at a time, with vibrato on the final note. It is rendered in your browser with the Web Audio API each time, so the file you download is generated on your device.

Play it live on calls

This sound is also a pad on the VoiceFX soundboard, with a hotkey. Route the soundboard into a virtual cable and friends hear it in any server, without anything being uploaded: see the Discord soundboard guide.

Have your own clip? The Discord clip maker trims any audio file to a 5-second MP3 under 512 KB.
