When a joke falls flat or nobody answers a question on the call.

How this sound is made

Groups of three very short 4.4 kHz sine chirps repeated every 0.6 seconds. It is rendered in your browser with the Web Audio API each time, so the file you download is generated on your device.

Play it live on calls

This sound is also a pad on the VoiceFX soundboard, with a hotkey. Route the soundboard into a virtual cable and friends hear it in any server, without anything being uploaded: see the Discord soundboard guide.

Have your own clip? The Discord clip maker trims any audio file to a 5-second MP3 under 512 KB.
